This year Father, as I pursue my greatness by pursuing You and Your plan for my life, there will be times people will tell me “no” when I know the answer should be “yes”. There will be times and in certain situations where I will be rejected and turned away as if I’m not good enough but, during these times I will not fret or worry because I know You are head over everything in heaven and on earth (I Chronicles 29:11 – 12).

Nothing is out of Your control; therefore, if man gives me an answer of “no” or “wait” after You’ve told me “yes”, I will continue to seek Your face and operate in Your favor until You make the necessary changes in me or in the situation (Philippians 4:19).

Father, I know You are with me at all times. You make Your face to shine upon me and You are gracious to me (Numbers 6:24 – 27). The greater that You have placed in me is greater than any power of or in the world system (I John 4:4 – 6). This is why I choose to rest in Your word, believe Your truths and work by faith (II Corinthians 5:7 and James 1:6).

Father, this year I will move and operate in greater, knowing that greater is coming! In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Father You are my peace. More than just my peace, You are my Shalom. You are the reason I am complete; nothing missing out of my life, nothing out of place. You are the fulfillment of everything I need, when the need arises.

When everything seems to be going to hell in a handbasket, You lift up a standard again the enemy. Not just my enemies in the world, or my immortal enemy, but you lift up a standard against my enemies that rage in me.

You lift up a standard against the fear, doubt, anger, envy and jealousy that war in me. You lift up a standard against low self-esteem, low self-worth and my feeling guilty and ashamed of things I have done. Your love for me lifts me above the fray of the world and my shortcomings. When nothing else can help, Your love lifts me and gives me peace.

Lord, no matter what goes on today, help me to rest in Your peace. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Prayer for Today

Father, today let me acknowledge your peace that covers and rests on me. Your peace that is full, complete and lacks nothing is the peace I need to sustain me. The things the world calls peace; money, wealth, fame and power are fleeting and fad away in the midst of adversity.

Unlike the world’s peace, your peace is always with me, even to the end of time. Your peace is not circumstantial. Your peace is a part of my benefits package of being your child. I don’t walk in your peace as often or completely as I should because I allow circumstances and problems to cause me to worry, fret and be anxious. Forgive me!

Today I will not worry, fret or be anxious over things but I will rest in the truth of your amazing grace and peace. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Prayer for Today

Father, you will not allow your righteous ones to be condemned. No matter what is being leveled against us. No matter what men say about us, you, our Lord and Savior, will deliver us out of them all.

I will not fret nor worry. I will seek you and you will deliver me from all my fears.  I will call to you and you will answer me. You will save me from all my troubles.

I will lack nothing I need for you my Lord will provide everything I need, whenever the need arises. You always provide for your own. Those who don’t believe in you may be in want and lack but never your children.

Thank you for teaching me to distinguish the difference between your love me and what the world calls love. I will praise and glorify you for your greatness and your mighty acts that you are issuing on my behalf. I will tell of your goodness in the land of the living. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
